In an effort to serve you better & faster, we’ve provided this handy check-list to help you organize your personal tax documents. Please include the following applicable documents in order to accurately process your income tax return. Also, feel free to download these Rental and Business Checklist‘s for those with rental properties or small businesses.


□   Employment income (T4, T4A)

□   Employment insurance benefits (T4E)

□   Worker’s compensation benefits (T5007)

□   Interest, dividends, mutual funds (T3, T5)

□   Official tuition receipts (signed by student) (T2202A)

□   Exam fees to obtain Professional Status

□   Universal Child Care Benefit (RC62)

□   Old Age Security and CPP benefits, pensions (T4A-OAS, T4AP)

□   Social assistance payments (T5007)


□   Official RRSP receipts including Jan & Feb contributions

□   Official charitable donation receipts

□   Child care receipts (caregiver’s name, address, SIN, name of child)

□   Children’s Arts Credits (receipts up to $500/child to age 16)

□   Children’s Fitness Credit (receipts up to $500/child to age 16)

□   Adoption expenses

□   Interest paid on student loans

□   Support for a child, spouse, or common-law partner

□   Medical receipts not reimbursed by insurance

□   Carrying charges and interest expenses

□   Political contributions

□   Transit pass receipts

□   Professional or union dues

□   Tool expenses (Tradespersons)

□   Moving expenses (40 km or more)


□   Notice of Assessment for last year filed

□   Rental income & expenses – see attached

□   Business income & expenses – see attached

□   Statement of employment expenses – see attached

□   Farm income & expenses – see attached

□   If you have a small business we require your GST, PST returns

□   Capital cost purchases or disposals attaching invoices

□   Volunteer Firefighters certification

□   Declaration of Conditions of Employment (T2200)

□   Disability Tax Credit Certificate

□   Canada Revenue Agency correspondence

□   Sale or deemed sale of stocks, bonds, or real estate
